Back in March of last year, (2018), due to a paddle being left up on an nearby lock gate, a substantial breach of the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union canal occured which has rendered passage along this streach to and from Middlewich impossible. The great news is that the repairs are complete and the Middlewich branch is open for business
